Last Wednesday morning I headed off for the wedding of Tayla and Danny at Gileston Manor, Barry. This exquisite venue lies within expansive, beautifully-maintained grounds – with all sorts of wildlife wandering around! A gorgeous kitty, a pair of white peacocks, black swans and a family of ducks! It was a perfect day for a big wedding celebration! I found Tayla, her six bridesmaids, both mums and grandma’s up on the first floor in one huge room getting ready. The lovely hair-dressing girls Hannah and Cerys were joined by their make-up artist colleagues working really hard. It was a VERY busy room – so I went off to find the boys also busy getting ready! Tayla had given me a box to hand over to Danny … and whilst reading her card, made him cry!
With everyone ready, Tayla had a ‘first look’ with her dad – and then her two brothers. We all slowly made our way up to the large ceremony room nestled in the gardens. Tayla looked stunning in her Laura May Bridal gown with beautiful bouquet by O’Hara Floral Design, The ushers and bridesmaids all looked outstanding in their fabulous sage green suits and long dresses. After a lovely ceremony and signing of the register, there was then a little bible-based wedding talk by friend Johnny.
We were soon all back out into the beautiful gardens for drinks, canapés and photos! It really was the most glorious, fun afternoon. It was soon time for the bridal party to enjoy their three-course meal. With the nights drawing in this time of year, we had a stunning sunset behind the marquee. The evening entertainment soon kicked off with DJ and saxaphone player.
People always say that your wedding day goes by SO quickly. Hopefully, Tayla and Danny can now enjoy looking through a small selection of their photos below.
