Last week I was delighted to return to Cardiff for the wedding of Tara and Andrew at Canada Lodge & Lake. I have photographed at this venue on numerous occasions but autumn is my favourite time of year. The colours are absolutely stunning against the backdrop of the lake. I found Tara, her mum, sisters and friends in one of the Lodges. The girls had stayed the night before and were up early to get ready. The fabulous Victoria Fox Make-Up Artist was busy making the girls look they very best. Her colleague from Serenity Hair in Caldicot was busy doing fabulous hair-styles.
Being November, you can never guarantee the weather, but it was a beautiful, sunny morning .. perfect for a wedding! I finally met Andrew and best man Gavin when they arrived – looking very dapper in their black frock-coats! It was soon time for the ceremony and we made our way up from the Lodge to the main building. Tara looked amazing in her beautiful gown from Charlotte Alexander Bridal in Cwmbran. Tara’s sisters Zoe and Amy looked fab as bridesmaids in their dusky pink long dresses. The sun was streaming in through the windows as Tara’s dad walked her down the aisle. The ceremony seemed to fly by and everyone was soon enjoying welcome drinks and spilling out into the sunshine.
We had a fab time capturing lovely memories with family and friends before it was time for their three-course meal. After speeches and cutting-of-the cake, there was photo-booth type dressing up and of course – lots of dancing!! Tara and Andrew, it was a privilege to have captured these memories for you. I know you have exciting times ahead in the New Year. I wish you and your new little family the very best wishes for the future.
