Last Friday I headed off to Brecon for the wedding of Samantha and John at the beautiful Peterstone Court. I found Samantha, her bridesmaids and step-daughter up in their room getting ready. Downstairs John and the guests were gathering prior to the 2.30pm ceremony.
Samantha looked beautiful as she came down the stairs and was walked ‘down the aisle’ by her lovely mum. Her cousin was acting celebrant and gave his inaugral and very humorous ceremony talk. His lovely wife (and bridesmaid) gave a reading. Sam and John were soon pronounced husband and wife and headed off for their welcome drinks. It had been very wet that morning but thankfully dried up sufficiently for us to get some outdoor family photos. The venue is pet-friendly, so the newlyweds had also been able to bring their two beloved pups with them.
In due course, the happy couple and guests sat down for their three-course meal. Being November, we obviously lose the light quite early. However, this time of year that is actually very convenient when we want to do ‘sparkler’ pics! It was cold but fortunately we were only outdoors for a short time (the sparklers don’t last long!) After the ‘cutting of the cake’, the dancing kicked off with DJ Tim of Beacons Disco. There was also a fun photo-booth for guests to enjoy. With everyone up dancing, I left the newlyweds to enjoy the rest of their night.
Below is a small selection of photos from the time I spent with Samantha and John. Congratulations you guys … wishing you both a very long and happy marriage 🙂
