On 11th July, I headed off for the wedding of Richard & Rebecca at Cwrt Bleddyn, Usk. We were in the middle of a heat-wave so were all aware it was going to be a very warm day! I found Bec, her sisters, daughter & step-daughters all busy getting ready in The Pink Cottage. The beautiful Naomi Kymberley was busy styling Rebecca’s hair. The downstairs kitchen was a hive of activity with family members popping in and out.
I went to meet Richard once I heard he’d arrived (looking very dapper in his green suit!). We took a sneaky look at The Crystal Suite which had been beautifully set out for the ceremony. Thankfully it was also blissfully air-conditioned so it was a massive relief for everyone to be invited in to take their seats! The bridesmaids looked beautiful in sage green long dresses. Rebecca was walked down the aisle by her dad (who had come all the way from California). It was such a lovely ceremony – and before we knew it, we were back out into the beautiful sunshine!
Richard & Bec had very cleverly organised a vintage-looking ice-cream cart for their guests – most appropriate on a very warm day! After some outdoor photos in the sunshine, family and friends were ushered back indoors for their three-course wedding breakfast. As it remains light until late this time of year, we also went back out for more photos early evening. It was nice to take advantage of the slightly cooler air.
It was the most perfect fun and emotional day – glorious weather and everyone looked fabulous! I left everyone bopping away on the dance-floor later that night! I hope you enjoy looking through a very small selection of photos from Richard & Bec’s wedding day below:
