Last Saturday morning I headed off to document the wedding of Rebecca and Jamie at the fabulous Llechwen Hall Hotel. I’d met this gorgeous couple the year before last when I photographed Jamie’s sisters wedding. It was so nice to see all the extended family and friends again! I found Rebecca with daughter Alayah and her bridesmaids up in the bridal suite. Hair was being done by the lovely Chris and make up by Caitlyn Davies MUA. The stunning bouquets and button-holes duly arrived from The Cottage Garden in Nelson. Considering it was early April, we had the most beautiful weather (albeit still quite nippy & rather windy outdoors!) A perfect day for a beautiful wedding though!
It was soon time for Becky to speak to the registrars in the bridal suite. Everyone then made their way downstairs and out into the sunshine! Alayah looked beautiful in an almost identical dress to her gorgeous mummy – it was her wedding too! In fact she proceeded to join mum and dad up at the front during the ceremony (super-cute!) 🙂 There were quite a few little ones at this wedding and they were all so good and fun to watch throughout the day.
After the ceremony, friends and family made their way to the huge marquee area for drinks and canapés. We were able to take advantage of the lovely weather to have outdoor photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery. As the newlyweds were announced in for their three-course meal, everyone started swinging their white napkins around … great fun! After their meal, speeches were made by Matthew (best-man) and Alun, Father of the Bride.
By early evening, Mark Edwards AKA The Big Guy, set-up to entertain the guests (although the children alone were great entertainment!) There was an organised ‘dance-off’ between the ‘boys’ and the bride & bridesmaids (the boys won!) After the cutting of the cake, Mark invited the happy couple onto the dance-floor for their first dance. Of course, little Alayah joined mum and dad. As it was days off her 4th birthday, an announcement was made after the dance, and everyone sang to her. Alayah’s little face was a picture! 🙂
With everyone dancing and enjoying the evening, I left the happy couple to enjoy the rest of the night.
I’ve loved editing some of the photos this week and hope you’ll enjoy looking through a selection from Jamie and Rebeca’s big day below:
