Last week’s fabulous wedding of Liz and Owen at Cefn Tilla Court in Usk was THE most perfect day! The venue of course is amazing … it’s origins dating back to the 1600’s and once owned by the late Lord Raglan. I’m passionate about older buildings and this has been lovingly restored. I adore the huge bridal suite with its massive copper bath! 😉 This is where I found the lovely Liz and her bride squad. They were being beautified by the gorgeous Amy of Bridal Beauty Wales. During the morning, I also popped over to see groom Owen getting ready with Best Man James and other members of the family as they were all staying on-site. It was a lovely day … not too hot and NO rain (for a change!) I saw the flowers being delivered by Hilarys Floral Design and watched Emily Harris Harpist setting up.
It was soon time for the ceremony to commence. It was so lovely to see the delight on Liz and Owen’s faces as they faced each other during the ceremony. Now legally husband and wife, everyone spilled out into the fabulous grounds for welcome drinks and canapés. The gardens at Cefn Tilla really are a fabulous backdrop for a couple’s wedding photos. I was allowed to clamber through an old sash window onto the roof of the front stone porch. This allowed me to achieve a wonderful vantage point for the group shot! After photos, the couple’s three course meal was catered by Pickled Pumpkin.
