Wedding of Liz & Chris at the Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel Usk

On Monday this week I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of Liz and Chris at the Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel, Usk.  This lovely couple have been together for 32 years and were finally ‘tying the knot’! After much deliberation, Liz and Chris chose to have a micro wedding … just themselves and their two best friends. Debbie and Paul were their only guests and the two witnesses.  I was only with them for two hours … but it was the loveliest little wedding!  They had all stayed at the hotel the night before so were very relaxed.

When I arrived an hour before the ceremony, both Chris and Liz met me together and we started taking pics.  When the registrars arrived, they both had to be seen separately as is the norm.  Their ceremony time was booked for 3.30pm and was held in the historical wood-panelled library room. Carol, Sultan and the Glen-Yr-Afon wedding team were fab as usual and everything went smoothly.

With the happy couple announced as newlyweds, Liz and Chris collected their glass of bubbly. We headed out into the sunshine for photos.  Deb and Paul had brought some biodegradable confetti so the bride and groom were soon covered in tiny paper love hearts! 🙂

We had a lovely time taking fun photos in the beautiful grounds of the hotel.  I then left the four of them to enjoy the rest of their afternoon and their ‘wedding breakfast’ together.

Congratulations Liz and Chris … you both looked fab and it was a real honour to document such a relaxed and fun afternoon with you.  ðŸ™‚
