Wedding of Jonathan & Nicole at Miskin Manor, Cardiff

Last Thursday I had the immense pleasure of documenting the wedding of Jonathan and Nicole at Miskin Manor, Cardiff. This fabulous couple actually had a legal pandemic ceremony early last year but no guests allowed.  They therefore viewed this as their ‘wedding day’ and wanted it to be a huge celebration. They requested two photographers so I travelled down with my lovely daughter Sabina.  She has her own photography business in Mid Wales. However, we occasionally work together if either of us receive a request for a second photographer. We were also joined by the lovely James of Posh Bear Videography

I spent much of the morning in the bridal suite with the girlies.  They were being made up by the lovely ladies from House of Hinton Bridal based in Cardiff. Sabina joined the boys and “Best Mam”  … yes not a spelling mistake – genuinely a female “Best Mam’ called Lou who was gorgeous!  At 11am, there was a call for a hands-on planned Easter-egg hiding session. The idea was that later in the day whilst busy with having photos taken, the children and guests could go hunt for chocolate! The whole day was Easter-themed with colourful baskets (for collecting chocolate) and bunny ears for guests. So much preparation had gone in to making it fun for everyone in attendance. Miskin Manor is a beautiful venue with the most stunning grounds.  I LOVED wandering around outside watching the boys hiding Easter eggs.

The colour theme for the entire day was pastels of pink, blue, green and lilac.  The bride and four bridesmaids looked stunning in their gowns. Jonathan, Best Mam, ushers and page -boy Errol looked equally dapper in their navy frock-coats.  At 2pm, the ceremony commenced.  As Jon and Nicole were already legally married, they were having a ‘re-enactment’ ceremony conducted by their close friend  Matt.  It was honestly the funniest ceremony I’ve heard yet.  The room looked amazing – and with the ceremony over, everyone literally danced their way back down the aisle!

It was the most perfect, fun wedding day for Nicole and Jon.  The venue and grounds are stunning … a perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.  I hope you will enjoy looking through a very small selection below of the many hundreds of pics we got from their fabulous day:
