Last week’s fabulous wedding for Jenni & Morten at Craig-Y-Nos Castle between Brecon and Swansea. I met up with Jen and her two gorgeous bridesmaids Gwen and Ellie at her mum & dad’s home in Swansea. The lovely Kate from Glower Glow and Sarah Marie were busy pampering the girls with hair and make-up. During bridal prep, the beautiful wedding car arrived to take Jenni, her parents and the bridesmaids to Clyne Chapel just a few minutes down the road. Jen’s veil fascinated me … it was a bespoke design by What Katy Did Next beautifully matching the autumn theme and colours. I love something a bit different! The stunning bridal flowers were produced by Francis Floral Designs. Jenni lost her Nan some time ago so had a scarf once worn by her tied around her bouquet. Once the girls were ready, I left in advance to go and meet Morten and everyone arriving at the church.
I was delighted to find the groom and his mum in their traditional Norwegian costume … they looked very fetching! Many guests had stayed the night before (some had travelled from Norway) at Craig-Y-Nos Castle. The families had arranged a coach to bring them down to the chapel. Unfortunately, there was a delay on their journey so we postponed the bride’s arrival until the remaining guests arrived! The wait was worth it however as Jenni and the girls looked amazing walking down the aisle. It was a lovely service and we were blessed with a beautiful day so were soon back out in the sunshine for photos. Everyone then piled back on the coach to return to the reception at Craig-Y-Nos.
I’m a huge fan of this beautiful venue so was delighted to be back here taking photos. Eventually it was time for the happy couple and their guests to be invited to sit for their three-course meal. Jenni’s dad, Morten and his brother Mats – who was best man – all gave speeches … one after each course! Later that evening, the entertainment was provided by The Hat & Fiddle Band who soon had everyone on their feet line dancing -hadn’t seen that for a while! After a fabulous afternoon at Craig-Y-Nos, I left everyone to dance the night away.
