Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of driving to Usk for the wedding of Amy & Anthony at The Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel. Amy and her two gorgeous girlies Eva & Mia had stayed the night before the wedding at the hotel along with mum Sue. They were up early next morning to be pampered by the gorgeous Abigail Hannah Makeup and hair being done by Luxe Lengths Extensions. The stunning bridal bouquets arrived from Bloomify in Abergavenny and were delivered to the bedroom.
Anthony was making a grand entrance by helicopter and landing in the field behind the hotel. A little crowd of us waited patiently to hear the exciting sound of the helicopter approaching! Anthony and brother Tarren were being flown in from Cardiff by GWL Aviation. I LOVE helicopters so was quite excited watching it’s approach and seeing Anthony waving to the waiting group! By the time I got back to Amy, she was already in her stunning dress from Jewels & Gems Bridal Boutique in Usk. Beautiful little Eva was deftly doing up the tiny rear buttons with a crochet hook! Amy’s brother Guy had come to walk her down the aisle so after a few pics, I headed off downstairs.
Amy looked absolutely stunning as she entered the historic, conical library room for the ceremony. After being announced as husband and wife, everyone headed outside for photos. The couple wasn’t sure if the venue allowed confetti so very cleverly brought lots of tiny bottles of bubbles instead! We managed to get some great outdoor pics before the wedding party retired for their three course meal. The beautiful wedding cake was made by Fabulous Cakes for All Occasions in Pontypool. It was an intimate and relaxed wedding and the day flew by. The evening entertainment was provided by GB Fun Casinos who had travelled all the way down from Stoke-On-Trent! Evening guest arrivals were able to watch Amy & Anthony’s first dance and were later treated to a fabulous hog roast by Pigs on Spits of Monmouth.
Congratulations on ‘tying the knot’ you guys … it was such a lovely day. Hopefully the selection of pics below will bring back a few memories! 🙂
