On 31st August I headed off to Abergavenny for the wedding of Abigail and Matthew at Treadam Barn. This was to be quite a unique wedding. The bride’s dad is actually a local vicar – and was marrying his daughter and new son-in-law! The lovely ceremony was held at St Teilo’s Church, Llantilio Crossenny. Matthew was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his bride. Abi soon arrived with her bridesmaids who were dressed in beautiful forest green gowns. Matthew’s niece and nephews were preceding Abi walking down the aisle as flower girl and page-boys (so cute!)
With Julian (Abi’s dad) conducting the ceremony with the assistance of Heidi his colleague, it was a very touching ceremony. With the happy couple announced as newlyweds, we were soon back out into the sunshine for photos. We then headed off to the lovely Treadam Barn only a few minutes drive away. It was a gorgeous afternoon (perfect for photos) and we captured some lovely memories – including a four generation family photo! Abi and Matthew’s meal was being catered by Fresh Food Events Catering. We enjoyed the traditional cutting of the cake and speeches before the happy couple finished off with a nice cuppa before family and friends headed off home.
It was a perfect afternoon for a lovely couple … who should now be back from their mini-moon! Congratulations Abi and Matthew … wishing you both a very long and happy marriage. 🙂
