On 30th April I had the pleasure of documenting the wedding of Sophie and Richard at The West House in Llantwit Major. This lovely couple firstly asked me to meet them at St Helen’s Church in Barry (where Sophie originates from). This is Sophie’s family church and where the ceremony was to be held. The bridesmaids and flower girl arrived with the two adult bridesmaids looking lovely in their long navy dresses. Sophie arrived with her dad in a beautiful white Rolls Royce courtesy of Big Day Wedding Cars.
Sophie looked beautiful in her wedding gown as she glided down the aisle towards her waiting husband-to-be. It was a lovely service and before we knew it, they were pronounced husband and wife! After signing the register and photos outside the church, we headed off to Llantwit Major. The reception was being held in an intimate venue called The West House. Sophie and Richard arrived in the Rolls Royce and we had a few more photos before the car left. It was a lovely day, so most guests mingled in the gardens outside for some time until it was time to head in for their three-course meal. I absolutely loved the wedding cake topper! It was very cleverly done and was a very good representation of Sophie and Richard!
The newlyweds had booked half-day photographic coverage, so once everyone was seated, I left them to enjoy their meal in peace and the rest of their day. I hope you’ll enjoy viewing a small selection of images from their Big Day below:
