Last weekend I headed off to the fabulous wedding for Siân and Sean at The Old Rectory Hotel, Crickhowell. Siân had stayed the night before with her bridesmaids and had been up really early for her hair and make-up. The lovely girlies from Bridal Beauty Wales in Usk were very busy ‘doing the honours’. Sadly the weather wasn’t on our side (it literally rained all day!) I was still able to greet the boys when they arrived and see family and friends arriving (many staying over so heading up to their rooms to change).
The ladies from Centre of Attention Florists in Brecon brought in the stunning flowers. They were very kind in assisting all the chaps with their button-holes. Meanwhile, the girlies upstairs were finally ready and changed into their gowns. The bridesmaids were wearing dusky pink and looked fabulous. Sian’s niece Lucy was her flower girl. Downstairs, the lovely Hannah Williams Harpist was all set up and ready to go playing her beautiful soulful music.
The ceremony was at 12 so just before, I went to find Siân’s dad. I brought him up to wait for his gorgeous daughter so he could be the first one to see her. Despite the weather, it is light and airy in the conservatory and it was a lovely ceremony. Although unable to go outdoors for photos, we made good use of the venue. I did stand out in the rain briefly (with a kind gentleman holding a brolly over me) to get the confetti shot! It was a fabulous, fun-filled day and everyone had a lovely time.
It’s surprising how quickly your wedding day goes … so having your photos afterwards are the precious memories of your Big Day. I know Siân and Sean were off to Bath for a short stay-cation honeymoon. Hopefully they will enjoy seeing just a very small selection of their photos below. Congratulations on becoming husband and wife you guys … wishing you both a very long and happy marriage 🙂
