I had the immense privilege last weekend of being able to document this fabulous small wedding for Robert and Angela. Due to very unexpected circumstances, another local photographer was unable to attend so I was able to step in. The wedding was held at the very historic West Usk Lighthouse, Newport. The lighthouse is a grade II listed building built in 1821. It was decommissioned as an operational lighthouse in 1922. It’s a fabulous, quirky venue for a small wedding with a Thunderbird green car plus a Police Tardis outside loo!
This lovely couple wanted a very relaxed, informal wedding with close family and friends. Everyone had already arrived early by the time I was asked to attend and were busy decorating the marquee. The lovely ceremony commenced at 2pm. Angela has a 9 year old daughter called Maya who was bridesmaid. I thought it was exceptionally sweet that Maya was a big part of the ceremony. She handed over the wedding rings from her little basket. She did a grand job and her little face made my heart melt! 🙂
It was another exceptionally warm day but such a fabulous place for photos. I was only with Rob and Angela for a couple of hours. However, even in that time we captured some hopefully very precious memories for this fun-loving couple.
Rob and Angela, I wish you both every happiness for the future. I’m sure you’ll enjoy browsing through a small selection of your photos below:
