Rhayader Wedding for Sarah & Shane

Back in May this year I received an enquiry from a lovely lady called Beth in Ireland.  She explained her beautiful niece Sarah had changed her wedding date about five times (thanks to the pandemic)!  She was now getting married to the love of her life Shane on 9th October and was I free?!  Due to the forever changing dates they had lost their previous photographer.

The wedding day for Sarah and Shane finally arrived.  I made my way to Shane’s sisters house in Rhayader where all the girlies were getting ready.  Wow … what a busy place!! So many beautiful girls all having their har and make-up done. I’d only met the lovely Rebecca MUA the day before at a previous wedding so was surprised to see her again!  Poor Sarah was feeling very nervous – but looked utterly stunning once Maid of Honour Bella helped her into her mermaid-style gown.  The other girlies hadn’t seen her so we did a ‘first look’ when Sarah came downstairs.  The looks on all the girls faces was priceless as the beautiful bride walked into the room! The gorgeous ‘Molly’ vintage Imperial wedding car had turned up to transport Sarah & her Mum to the church.

Sarah and Shane’s two-year old son Tommy had stayed with his dad overnight.  When he realised his mum, sister Lexi and Nan had arrived, he shot off like a rocket! With arms outstretched he ran towards his beautiful mum as fast as his little legs would go! Honestly, I could’ve cried (good job I had my camera up to my face!)! It was a precious moment and one I was glad I captured.  Shane and all the boys looked awesome in their grey frock coats with emerald green cravats. They perfectly complemented the bridesmaids’ emerald green dresses. It was a lovely ceremony at St Brides Church in Rhayader – and Sarah and Shane were finally pronounced husband and wife!

With photos outside the church complete, the guests all continued on to The Commodore Hotel in Llandrindod Wells.  With the aid of the lovely Jamie from Champagne Wedding Cars, we left to travel the short distance to the stunning Elan Valley for photos.  It’s the most beautiful location and I was delighted to be able to capture Sarah and Shane’s wedding photos there.  With pics ‘in the can’, we headed back to Llandrindod Wells.  Sarah and Shane had a riotous welcome on their arrival with everyone in a celebratory mood!  I was so impressed with the layout of their reception room … it looked absolutely stunning.  The attention to detail I had noticed throughout the whole day was magnificent.  The room looked amazing and the newlyweds finally sat down to their three-course meal. With speeches, cutting-of-the-cake and first dance joyfully captured, I left this lovely family to enjoy the evening ahead.

Sarah and Shane … your wedding day was amazing – so much fun! After all the planning and hard work that goes into it,  its surprising how quickly the day goes. However, you now have your beautiful photos (& video by Capture-It Videos) to bring back the memories.  I wish you all every happiness and hope you enjoy having a look at a few of your pics below:  🙂
