Cardiff Wedding of Damaris & Joseph

I had the privilege of documenting this fabulous Cardiff wedding of Damaris and Jospeh on 21st November.  I headed off to the Port Talbot Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where the couple were holding their ceremony.  It was a wet November day as we awaited the bride’s arrival – but that certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! Damaris and her mum arrived in a regency green vintage Jaguar. Her posse of bridesmaids were in a different vehicle … all wearing varying shades of blue. The waiting groomsmen with brollies kindly escorted the six lovely bridesmaids into the Kingdom Hall.  They then walked in pairs down the aisle with Father-of-the-Bride walking his beautiful daughter down to her waiting groom.  Two chairs had been placed on the platform so that the speaker could direct his bible-based wedding talk to them. They listened to words of wisdom from the scriptures as they embark on married life.

After a lovely ceremony,  Damaris and Joe went into the back room to sign the register. Before leaving, they sat down in the hall again so we could get a photo of all their guests from the platform. The bridal party departed to the nearby Miskin Manor. It’s a stunning venue and a fabulous backdrop for photos.  Despite being a very wet day, the guys and gals were troopers, and kindly agreed to do some fun outdoor pics.  I’m sure you’ll agree if you have a nosey below, it was worth the effort.  We had great fun messing about taking photos and making memories!

We headed back to their waiting guests at the local Community Centre for some sustenance (and to warm up!) The newlyweds were then heading off to the nearby Holiday Inn for their evening reception and to dance the night away!

Damaris & Joe … I know you’ve been away on your honeymoon this past week. I hope you’ll enjoy re-living some of the fun times we had on your wedding day as you look through your photos.  Wishing you both a very long and happy marriage 🙂
