Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Ceri and Chris. They had booked the beautiful Cardiff City Hall for their wedding ceremony. I spotted a stunning vintage-style wedding car by Champagne Wedding Cars parked up. I poked my head through to find Ceri, her mum Pat and her bridesmaids waiting patiently as they were early. Ceri looked stunning in a sparkly champagne coloured gown by Needle & Thread. She was holding a beautiful rose bouquet by Hilarys Florist. The chauffeur kindly demonstrated the car with the roof down enabling me to capture the moment! Following this, I headed up to City Hall to find Chris and a few family and friends waiting outside. We were soon allowed in and settled for the ceremony.
I am a huge fan of beautiful older buildings and architecture. For this reason, it was such a pleasure to be able to photograph the newlyweds in one of the finest Civic Centres in Europe! After the ceremony, we headed to Cathays Park for a few photos. We then headed back to Ceri’s mum’s home in Caerphilly.
A small marquee had been set up in the garden. It had been beautifully decorated with colourful bunting and paper lanterns. We were blessed with a gorgeous afternoon so friends and family mingled in the garden and marquee. Later on, the meal arrived delivered by Laura at The Tidy Kitchen Company. Finally, I left the happy revellers to enjoy their meal and the rest of their day.
