Bristol Wedding of Chavonne & Kieran

Last Thursday I finally had the pleasure of being able to document the Bristol wedding of Chavonne and Kieran.  Due to last year’s pandemic, they had to move their wedding date to 2021.  Despite continuing uncertainty and hoping restrictions would lift in time, they were determined to proceed with their long-awaited wedding.  That meant they were going ahead with only 30 guests – and other friends and family would have to watch on Zoom! I first met Kieran and his ushers at his family home for a few photos of the lads in their lovely suits. They were then all changing again and heading off together for a hearty pub breakfast!!

After leaving the boys, I headed to Chavonne’s family home where she was sat having her hair done by the lovely Kati.  Their beautiful six-year old daughter Sienna had already had her long locks curled and looked gorgeous.  As the morning progressed, other family members arrived and we had a group photo in the back garden.  The stunning vintage-style wedding car by Abacus Wedding Cars arrived to take Chavonne and dad down to Bristol Register Office for 2.30pm.  A naughty traffic warden jokingly threatened to book Chavonne’s wedding car before we went in! Sadly only 8 guests were allowed in the room so many family and friends were watching via Zoom.  I love older buildings and architecture so enjoyed the very regal colour setting as I photographed the newlyweds.  After the ceremony, we headed out into the sunshine onto the steps of the Register Office for pics.

Reception:

With Chavonne and Kieran finally husband and wife, we then made our way to the lovely Mercure Grange Hotel.  The fabulous staff were waiting with canapés (Kieran’s big brekkie had definitely worn off by this stage!) & guests were circulating. The grounds of the venue are a lovely backdrop for photos. It was so nice to see everyone finally be allowed to celebrate this long-awaited day.

The happy couple were soon encouraged to take their seats to enjoy a three-course meal.  Afterwards, Kieran and best man Kalum gave their very touching speeches. With nerves over,  the happy couple enjoyed chatting to family and friends present.  Restrictions still prevent the usual evening entertainment but the newlyweds posed for a ‘first-dance’ shot!

Chavonne and Kieran, I wish you both every happiness as you commence married life together.  I hope you will enjoy seeing a selection of images from your big day below:
