Last Tuesday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Rebecca and Jock for their wedding at the Glen-Yr-Afon Hotel, Usk. However, we started out with their ceremony at the Usk Registry Office. This was a second marriage for both so they had chosen to have a very small, intimate wedding. Only a handful of family members were present. Jock used to live in Somerset so his parents, son Jordan and daughter-in-law Sophie travelled up for the wedding. Rebecca’s sister and father from New Inn were there to support her. I don’t think I’ve ever been in such a little ceremony room before! Before we knew it, the legalities were over and Rebecca and Jock were pronounced husband and wife. After the ceremony, we spilled out into the gorgeous afternoon sunshine.
After a few photos on the grass outside the registry office, we made our way just a few hundred feet up the road to the Glen-Yr-Afon Hotel. We stayed in the grounds for a while taking photos. We suddenly heard a rumble and a big helicopter flew very low overhead. Rebecca was delighted as she used to work for the RAF years ago. As the happy couple got ready for their afternoon tea, we managed to take a sneaky look at their room where they would be staying. I finished off with a few more pics before leaving them in peace to enjoy their afternoon tea and the rest of their day.
Rebecca and Jock – congratulations on your marriage and I wish you both every happiness. Hope you like the selection of photos from your Big Day below:
