Hensol Castle Wedding for Sarah & Arran

On 17th August I set off early for The Vale Resort, Cardiff to meet up with bride Sarah.  She had stayed the night before with her nearest & dearest in preparation for her wedding.  The wedding itself was being held at their sister venue – the stunning Hensol Castle. When I arrived at The Vale, I found the suite Sarah was in absolutely buzzing with activity.  The lovely hair and make-up girls were there from Alison Gay Hair & Make-up.  They were very busy ensuring everyone looked amazing on the day.  As the morning progressed, the beautiful bridal flowers arrived by Eden Floral Styling & Design.

Sarah and her family are from West Scotland so I loved hearing the accent!  Her brother Stuart was giving Sarah away and turned up wearing the traditional kilt!  Sarah looked absolutely stunning in her gown from the Cardiff Bridal Centre.  She wore a matching Black Watch Tartan sash over her shoulder secured with her clan crest brooch.

Hensol Castle Ceremony

With bridal prep complete, I headed off down the road to Hensol Castle to meet up with Arran and his groomsmen. Arran is a member of the Royal Artillery so looked very dapper in his black uniform.  The venue is spectacular and it was a beautiful day – perfect for a big wedding!  Sarah duly arrived with her bridesmaids. Three-year old daughter Rylie and Sarah’s two nieces were THE cutest flower girls ever!  Sarah was played in with traditional bagpipe music courtesy of the fab John Campbell Bagpiper. After a lovely ceremony, we headed out into the sunshine for photos.  I thoroughly enjoyed this Hensol Castle wedding for Sarah and Arran.  The grounds of Hensol Castle are a fabulous backdrop for wedding photos.  Everyone was up for a laugh which always makes fabulous pics – lovely memories for the years to come.

Sarah and Arran, thank you for choosing me as your photographer. It was a pleasure being part of your Big Day.  I hope you enjoy a long and happy marriage – and have fun looking through a selection of your photos below 🙂
